It is a celebration that spreads across the country in the month in which weather becomes unbearably hot with often in the low to mid forties with almost no breeze; it becomes the perfect time to host the country’s largest water festival known as THINGYAN. With the equal participation from small children to old aged pensioners with electrifying mood arming themselves with whatever means necessary to take part in the water fights like water pistols, buckets and hoses. Everyone here is completely on a mission, a mission to make sure that no one walks the street dry and most importantly with a very beautiful concept that you can wash away your sins from the previous year through the most liberal use of water.
I wish all my dear Myanmar’s Teachers, friends, well wishers and everyone celebrating Water festival across Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and of course back in Indian north eastern states as well a very Happy Thingyan (sorry for not mentioning each’s respective name for this particular festival) and a New Year, May you all have a very happy, healthy, joyous and a prosperous new year ahead with a blessings of the most blessed triple gem and all the enlightened spiritual masters of all the great religions…
HAPPY THINGYAN..
Below is a short video created by me with some pics I took Yesterday's morning..
